“You tweeted that?” You snorted. “Now all of your friends are gonna think I’m weird.”
Jun laughed and sat up on the bed. Both of you were laying on the small bed together, with practically no space in between. It wasn’t really a problem, since Jun was Jun. Besides, he had a comforting vibe to him, so you weren’t going to push him away.
“You? Weird? Yeah, wait until you meet all of them,” He grinned.
Smiling, you sat up next to Jun and laid your head in your hands as you continued to watch the movie. For the evening, you weren’t expecting Jun to come over. Honestly, you planned to watch movies alone, trying to get your mind off of Sunghee. A sigh left your lips as you began thinking of that witch.
What could she possibly have to say?
You were suddenly taken out of your thoughts as an arm laid around your shoulders. Furrowing your eyebrows, you gave Jun an amused look. “What are you doing?”
He smiled. “Penny for your thoughts?”
“It’s nothing, I just,” You sighed. “My ex texted me.”
“What? What’d she say?”
Shaking your head, you turned back to the movie. “It’s nothing, I’m probably just overreacting.”
Jun scoffed and pulled you closer to him, pressing you against his chest. “You’re not overreacting. Don’t answer her or anything, alright?”
You tried to pull away, but Jun wouldn’t let you. “I know, but I feel a little guilty, ugh. Can you let me go?”
“Nope, you’re gonna stay right here until you forget about her. You shouldn’t feel guilty at all.”
The both of you stayed in that position, watching the movie in silence. Jun didn’t make any move to let you go. His eyes were trained on the movie, but you could tell his attention was on you. A slight blush played against your cheeks and you relaxed in his hold.
After a few moments passed, Jun spoke. “Do you still want me to let you go?” His voice was barely above a whisper that you almost didn’t hear it.
You shook your head slightly. “No, this is comfortable.”
“Gumdrop,” He said out loud. You turned your head towards him, meeting his eyes. “I need to tell you something.”
“What is it?”
“Promise that you’ll hear me out.”
You chuckled. “What’s up, Jun? You can tell me anything. We’re besties, aren’t we?”
His grip loosened and slowly, he removed himself from you. “That’s the thing: besties. I… Gumdrop, do you really want to be besties?”
“I don’t know what you mean?”
He gave you a soft smile. “I guess there’s no turning back now. Gumdrop… I like you. Not as a bestie, but as a woman.”
Your cheeks began to turn bright red. You were completely dumbfounded as he stared at you, waiting for an answer. “I… Jun, what? You like me?”
“Yeah, I do,” He nervously laughed. “A lot, actually. Since the first day you showed up to practices, really. You looked really cute when you angrily replaced the props on stage.”
“Jun,” You began.
“It’s okay if you don’t like me back, I totally get it. I just needed to tell you, so I could see if I could keep flirting with you… and calling you Gumdrop.”
You smiled. “Jun, I like you too.”
As soon as the words left your mouth, his face began to light up. It was as if the stars were in his eyes. Suddenly, his arms wrapped around your shoulders and you were pressed into a hug.
“God, I’m so happy you feel the same.”
Chuckling, you turned your head and gave him a quick peck on his cheek. “I’m happy too.”
